Padstow
The Slipway Bed and Breakfast is just minutes from all of
the main attractions of Padstow.
The
River Camel and Coastline
The Slipway is situated alongside the historic fishing
harbour of Padstow, and looks across the lovely estuary of
the River Camel. Fishing boat trips are available from the
harbour, and it is only a short walk to beautiful sandy
beaches. An easy ten minute drive takes you to the wonderful
surfing beaches stretched along the North Cornwall Coast.
Camel Trail
250 yards along the road from The Slipway is the start of
the famous Camel Trail cycle path, which provides access to
the beautiful Cornish countryside, along a disused railway
line between Bodmin, Wadebridge and Padstow. Visitors can
easily hire bikes in Padstow, if they don't have their own.
Walking
Follow the path around the harbour from The Slipway, and
walk up towards the Monument overlooking the Camel River.
The coast path is a super stretch of sand from St Georges
Cove to Harbour Cove and Hawkers Cove. The walk from Padstow
to St Georges Cove takes about 20 minutes with great views
across the estuary.
National Lobster Hatchery
From baby lobsters to giant lobsters and crabs, the Visitor
Centre offers a window into the hatchery and is just minutes
down the road from The Slipway.
Jubilee Queen
Summer Coastal Cruises are available from beautiful Padstow
Harbour, 50 yards from The Slipway
Rick Stein ’s Cookery School
The famous Rick Stein’s Cookery School is just a few doors
away from where you are staying.

from TV, and his other restaurant Rojano’s.
